Stourbridge Town Branch Upgrade
In February 2021, Network Rail announced that, to coincide with the Town cars being taken out of service for internal refurbishment, the line would be closed from 8 to 21 February to enable vegetation to be cut back and the track inspected. A second closure from 6 to 12 March saw the sleepers, track and ballast completely replaced.
The following photographs show the progress as the new track was laid.
