2012
View taken from Tipton Road towards Dudley, with Dudley Castle in the background. The Dudley railway site was to the left of the photo. In the plans for the Brierley Hill to Wednesbury Metro line, the Metro would divert from the heavy rail route by heading straight ahead and up Castle Hill into Dudley Bus Station, with a provisional stop at Station Drive (close to the large building to the left of the photo). The Dudley Innovation Centre is planned to be built on the far side of the line.

2017
The same location as the previous photo after track clearance.

2020
The same location as the previous photo. The site has been cleared and the retention wall separating the Metro from the Innocation Centre has been built. Sleepers have arrived on site, probably to build the Innovation Centre test track.

View taken from the railway bridge at the bottom of Castle Hill of the site of the former Dudley railway station, latterly a Freightliner terminal. The line onwards towards Walsall can be seen through the trees. The Dudley Innovation Centre is planned to be built on the left hand side of the line.
