View taken from Tipton Road towards Dudley, with Dudley Castle in the background.  The Dudley railway site was to the left of the photo.  In the plans for the Brierley Hill to Wednesbury Metro line, the Metro would divert from the heavy rail route by heading straight ahead and up Castle Hill into Dudley Bus Station, with a provisional stop at Station Drive (close to the large building to the left of the photo).  The Dudley Innovation Centre is planned to be built on the far side of the line.

View taken from the railway bridge at the bottom of Castle Hill of the site of the former Dudley railway station, latterly a Freightliner terminal.  The line onwards towards Walsall can be seen through the trees.  The Dudley Innovation Centre is planned to be built on the left hand side of the line.

View taken from the opposite side of the road of the line towards Stourbridge Junction approaching Dudley Tunnel.  If proposals go ahead, the left hand track would be reopened for heavy rail or tram-train with the right hand track used as a test track for the Dudley Innovation Centre.

View taken from the junction of Castle Hill and Birmingham Street looking down Castle Hill towards the railway bridge.  In the plans for the Brierley Hill to Wednesbury Metro line, the Metro would join Castle Hill this side of the large building in the background and then come up Castle Hill before turning left into Birmingham Street.

View taken looking up Birmingham Street towards Dudley Bus Station.  In the plans for the Brierley Hill to Wednesbury Metro line, Dudley Bus Station would be rebuilt to include the Dudley Town Centre tram route.

View taken from the bridge over King Street towards Flood Street.  In the plans for the Brierley Hill to Wednesbury Metro line, the tram line turns from King Street into Flood Street and continues down to the Dudley Southern Bypass.  Space for the line to continue alongside the bypass was created when the bypass was built.
